Engr. Gee Jay Bartolome’s research and development project entitled “Performance of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with Natural Dye from Local Tropical Plants”, which was conducted with Engr. Al Eugene Torres, Engr. Jhon Patrick de Mesa, and and Engr. Judy Ann O. Adona, was part of the five finalists in the Southern Tagalog Consortium for Industry and Energy Research and Development (STCIERD) 5th Science and Technology Forum and Competition in Industry and Energy Research and Development Region IV-A.
Other finalist projects were entries from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and Batangas State University. The finalists presented their researches to the Board of Judges for final evaluation on 24 September 2021.
Winners in the competition were announced during Awarding and Closing Ceremonies of the 2021 Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) on 13 October 2021 via Zoom. CvSU’s entry emerged as 1st Runner Up.
“Performance of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with Natural Dye from Local Tropical Plants” was adjudged as 1st Runner Up in the 5th STCIERD R&D Competition.
